Team GB’s Medal Results for Beijing 2008

The Beijing Olympic Games have come to a close, and these games were the most successful games for Great Britain, who will be hosting the 2012 Games, in almost a century. During the Beijing closing ceremony a red London bus drove into the Bird’s Nest Arena, and Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page performed the classic rock hit, Whole Lotta Love, with X-Factor’s Leonis Lewis singing the lead vocals. Then David Beckham rose up on the lift, and kicked a football into the crowd, much to the delight of the thousands of spectators and athletes in the arena.

Here are Britain’s final results of the Summer 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

Great Britain does not have an Olympic football team at the moment, but hopefully by the 2012 games Britain will manage to put together a team. Football is Britain’s national sport, and David Beckham is possibly the most famous footballer of all time, so Team GB should definitely put in a team in 2012.
